A look at the 2016 Jack Miller MotoGP helmet that he wore for the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

Miller’s previous special helmets for the Australian MotoGP have usually been based around the colours and symbols from the Australian flag, and while some of that influence is still here, this particular design adopts a new colour scheme that throws in some neon pink colours with some sharp patterns and lines.

The Red Bull logo is positioned on the sides and the word ‘Jackass’ is printed at the base on the rear of the AGV helmet.

The design was created by Starline Desingers, the Italian design studio.

A look at the 2014 Jack Miller Moto3 helmet that he had created for his home Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

This design was created by Starline Designers and it is a patriotic themed helmet that Miller wore for the Moto3 race in Australia. The helmet design is based around the Australian flag with a silver and blue metallic looking base.

The usual ‘Jackass’ cartoon donkey is replaced on the rear of the helmet with an image of Australia with the slogan ‘Home Sweet Home‘ written on it with some images of Miller’s favorite Aussie foods – meat pies and sausage rolls.

Miller went on to win the race and said:

“It was a big old fight for sure. And to win here with the top speed problems I’m having is really, really good for me. I feel that was probably the best race I’ve ever done. Even during the race, you could see (Australian) flags flying and you could really, really feel the support. It was a great feeling.” I enjoyed it, but it was also very scary at times. It was incredible. Everybody fought quite cleanly. I don’t think we could ask for a better result.”

We are taking a step back in time to look at the 2013 Jack Miller Moto3 helmet.

This helmet design was created by Starline Designers and at the time Miller was racing in Scorpion helmets (he has since moved to AGV).

We love this design as it has a very minimal and stripped back feel to it, plus the use of black as the primary colour of the helmet isn’t something you see in the Grand Prix field too much these days (even Miller himself has gone for more colourful options in recent years).

The helmet simply featured two star motifs on the upper sides of the helmet, the Monster Energy green claw logo on the sides, and Miller’s ‘Jackass’ cartoon is featured on the rear. A blue stripe with white stars runs up the top of the helmet as a nod to the Australian flag.
