Valentino Rossi AGV Corsa SoleLuna Helmet

AGV Corsa:
The AGV Corsa is AGV’s ‘next-to-best’ motorcycle helmet and sits just behind the Pista GP in the AGV range. The Corsa maintains many of the race-inspired features of the Pista GP but adds more flexibility to create a more forgiving helmet that is equally at home on the street or the track.

AGV have released Valentino Rossi’s primary SoleLuna helmet design that he used between 2013 and 2015 in their AGV Corsa range. This is another beautiful looking Valentino Rossi replica helmet that features one of his most popular helmet designs.

The helmet was designed by Aldo Drudi and it was an updated twist on Valentino Rossi’s long running ‘Sun and Moon’ logo. Rossi has been racing with a ‘Sun and moon’ design since he first entered the World Championship paddock way back as a 125cc rider and he claims that it represents the two sides of his personality that he has as a racer – the sun being light and positivity, and the moon representing that darker side that is required to be a competitive racer in MotoGP.

The sun is positioned directly at the front of the helmet and the sun rays that emanate from it cascade back across the helmet where they meet a dark crescent moon at the rear. It is a beautiful and colourful design. Rossi’s race number ’46’ is featured on the cheeks of the helmet shell.

The AGV Corsa is a serious helmet – AGV have created it as kind of a little brother to their premium Pista GP helmet. Both helmets are very similar and basically the Pista GP is designed as a pure race helmet and AGV have stripped away any feature that adds excess weight. The Corsa on the otherhand has far more flexibility and versatility in its features, for example the air vents in the Pista GP are either open or closed, there is no middle ground (and to close them you need to use a rubber bung), whereas the Corsa has a full ventilation system that can be controlled via a slider so you can set just how far open you want them. It is this flexibility that makes the Corsa a suitable (but expensive) road helmet, as well as a killer track helmet. Find out where to buy it at the bottom of the page

Description: AGV Corsa
The all new AGV Corsa Helmet is constructed from SSL (Super-Super-Light) Carbon-Kevlar and is based on same helmet worn by the top class Moto GP rider Valentino Rossi (Pista GP). With an all new shell shape and aerodynamically tested venting system hollowed directly in the shell, the AGV Corsa helmet longs to be at the track. The AGV Corsa has a Cool Max removable and washable interior with hygienic treatment. It has a Double D retention system and a clear, flat, anti-scratch, Pinlock ready polycarbonate race 2 visor with XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) and tear-off system.

The AGV Corsa Helmet takes many features from AGV’s premium race helmet, the Pista GP, and combine the raw performance with road-riding features such as adjustable ventilation and improved comfort, without sacrificing the performance standards of the GP model. It is basically AGV’s premium road model, but one you can also take for a tear-up on the racetrack.

The AGV Corsa Helmet has been awarded a Five Star SHARP certification. SHARP (Safety Helmet and Assessment Rating Programme) is the UK Department of Transportation’s independent helmet evaluation system and a 5 Star Rating represents the highest echelon of protection, the Corsa is now listed among the safest helmets in the world.
