Hiroshi Aoyama spent 6 years racing in the 250cc World Championship Class for Honda and KTM – in 2009 Aoyama won the 250cc World Championship in what was a nail-biting season and final race.
Aoyama is the last ever 250cc Champion as the class was replaced by the Moto2 class in 2010.
In 2010 Hiroshi Aoyama made the move to the premier MotoGP class with Interwetten Honda, and in 2011 he raced as part of the Gresini Honda team. Aoyama moved to World Superbikes in 2012 and since then he has also made wildcard appearances in MotoGP for the Repsol Haonda team replacing injured riders.
Aoyama raced mostly in Arai helmets and Arai released a few Aoyama replicas in their higher-level ranges. Aoyama’s helmet designs are usually understated and slick, and appeal to many riders who are looking for a classy lid for the street. Browse the current Hiroshi Aoyama helmets available in the Arai range below.
Sadly there are no current Aoyama replicas available from Arai, we will update this page if that changes. In the meantime you can check out some of the older classic Aoyama Arai helmets on ebay that are still available at good discounts. Check them out
