Danny Kent Helmet guide:
Danny Kent’s increased profile since his World Championship win has seen Nolan Helmets seize the opportunity and release a few Danny Kent replicas in various Nolan helmet ranges. They have even released a great looking limited edition version of his World Championship celebration helmet in gold, you will need to be quick if you want that though as there aren’t too many left.
Nolan have also helped out everyday race fans by releasing an affordable Danny Kent race replica in the Nolan N64 range, which is a solid everyday motorcycle helmet for day to day use (not suitable for track riding) with a very low price point. This is your cheapest option if you are looking for a helmet with great looking Danny Kent race replica graphics – it is the same helmet design that Danny Kent wore for his Championship winning Moto3 season.
If you are after more of a performance helmet, then check out the X-Lite X-802RR Replica Helmet, which is Nolan’s race helmet (X-Lite and Nolan are the same brand, different names are used for regional marketing purposes).
Danny Kent biography:
Danny Kent was born in 1993 in Wiltshire and his first taste of two-wheeled racing came in the form of Minimoto. After eventually moving through the MiniGP70 British Championships and the Aprilia Superteens Championships, Kent moved into the Spanish 125cc Championships and then the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup – both popular feeder classes for Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
Danny Kent entered the 125cc world championship with Lambretta in 2010 racing for the Lambretta Reparto Corse team. He stayed in the 125cc class until it became Moto3, which he competed in for one season for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team before moving up to Moto2. After a fairly unsuccessful season in Moto2 Kent moved back to Moto3 for the 2014 season when he finished in 8th place in the overall standings. In 2015 Kent moved to the Leopard Racing team and he dominated the season and won the Moto3 World Championship becoming the first British motorcycle World Champion since Barry Sheene last achieved it way back in 1977.
Danny Kent moved back up to Moto2 in 2016.
