Official Description:
Developed by Moto GP racers for RACERS – The LS2 Arrow full-face street helmet was a team effort and included LS2 engineers in Spain and their riders from Moto 3, Moto 2 and MotoGP. Together, they developed an innovative performance helmet while delivering the utmost in safety. The lightweight, aerodynamic tri-composite fiberglass shell cuts through the wind, but is extremely stable. The eye port is about 3/4″ taller than anything else on the market allowing you to look farther down the track when tucked-in. It’s extra wide so you can see who’s coming beside you. The optically-correct face shield swaps quickly and easily using tool-less quick-release technology. This race-ready 3 mm flat shield comes with tear-off posts and is LS2 FogFighter ready (sold separately).

The Emergency Quick Release System removable cheek pads are precision cut from one solid piece of high-quality foam using LS2’s 3D Laser Technology. The technical fabric liner is fully removable and washable (LS2 recommends you wash by hand and air dry). The fabric wicks moisture to help keep you dry and comfortable. Fully adjustable flow-through ventilation allows you to stay cool. The Arrow uses a traditional “double-D ring” strap for a secure fit. Whether you’re a racer, sport rider, or commuter, you’ll find the performance you need. This model has an Long Oval fit. The shape is very Shoei-like, but they run small for a snug racer fit. LS2 calls it a “200 M.P.H. fit.” If you want a GP fit, buy your regular size. If you want a more comfortable fit, buy one size larger than normal. Meets or exceeds DOT and ECE certification (ECE is the standard of MotoGP). Covered by a five-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

  • Designed by MotoGP Racers for Racers with the help of LS2 engineers in Spain to be a world-class performance motorcycle helmet.
  • The eye port is extra tall allowing you to see farther down the track when tucked in.
  • Emergency release cheek pads are cut from one piece of high-quality foam using LS2’s 3D Laser Cut Technology for comfort and safety.
  • The high-performance race shield is an optically-correct 3 mm thick with tear-off posts.
  • Meets or exceeds DOT and ECE MotoGP standards.

Jorge Lorenzo reveals new ‘Green Mamba’ helmet for Indy

Jorge Lorenzo Green Mamba Helmet Jorge Lorenzo used Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to reveal the special helmet that he will be racing with at this weekend’s Indianapolis MotoGP.

Lorenzo wrote: “La Mamba vuelve… VERDE! / Mamba is coming… GREEN MAMBA!

The design has been dubbed ‘Green Mamba’, and it is basically an update of his ‘Black Mamba’ helmet design that he first wore for the 2012 Mugello MotoGP.

This version of the helmet looks much brighter, so it should look great on the track – expect his gloves and boots to probably have a green snakeskin design too.

Don’t forget you can still get the ‘Black Mamba’ helmet from X-Lite helmets as a Limited Edition.

First look at new Jorge Lorenzo HJC helmet

Jorge Lorenzo HJC Helmet

A few weeks ago we wrote about the news that Jorge Lorenzo had left Nolan/X-Lite helmets and had signed a new contract with HJC, and would race in an HJC RPHA 10 helmet.

The first images of what Lorenzo’s new MotoGP race helmet will look like have now been released by HJC.

The graphics are not a huge departure from Lorenzo’s previous design – the top of the lid still features his ‘around the outside’ logo of a red X in a white circle, and the rear still features his winged sparta helmet motif.

The main difference is the addition of the Monster Energy claw logo – the Monster Energy team will be sponsoring both Rossi and Lorenzo in the Yamaha team and as a result Lorenzo has been bought out of his previous contract with Rockstar Energy drinks.

New replica’s of Lorenzo’s new HJC helmet are due to be available for sale by spring 2013

Jorge Lorenzo moves to HJC Helmets

Jorge Lorenzo
Jorge Lorenzo has announced that he has signed a helmet sponsorship deal with HJC helmets.

Lorenzo had previously been racing with X-Lite helmets, but at a recent Nolan Helmets Christmas event it was announced that Lorenzo would be moving to another manufacturer. Nolan presented Lorenzo with a commemorative helmet to pay tribute to the years and the success that he has had whilst wearing X-Lite helmets.

George Hong, the President of HJC Helmets for America said:
“We are very proud to sign Jorge Lorenzo for the 2013 season as well as our other top riders.”

It is said that Lorenzo will wear the HJC RPHA helmet, a model that has previously been worn and had development input from Ben Spies.

It is rumored that HJC will have the first range of HJC Jorge Lorenzo models available for sale by Spring 2013.

Video of Valentino Rossi’s tribute helmet to Marco Simoncelli

Here is some officiall video footage of Valentino Rossi showing off his new helmet design for Valencia. The helmet is a tribute to Marco Simoncelli who lost his life in the Sepang race.

The design incorporates the front graphics from Simoncelli’s helmet, with the rear design of Rossi’s usual helmet.

Valentino Rossi said:
“I really miss Sic, and I still haven’t completely realised what happened. I thought the least I could do was dedicate my helmet to him and to his number, 58. Here in Valencia number 58 is all over the paddocks, everyone wants to remember him. Sic, this helmet is for you!”

This is a photo of the helmet that Valentino Rossi will be wearing in Valencia this weekend as a tribute to Marco Simoncelli.

The helmet design features the same red and white stripes that Marco Simoncelli’s helmet had, and also features the number 58 in the middle and at the front.

The back of the helmet features Valentino Rossi’s usual ‘AGV Elements helmet‘ design.

It is a nice, understated tribute to Marco Simoncelli.

Valentino Rossi’s new custom helmet for Misano

He may not be doing too well on the track this season, but Valentino Rossi has once again proved that he is still the champion of amusing custom helmet designs.

It is a Rossi tradition to wear a new lid design at his home races in Italy, and past seasons at Misano have seen designs like the Donkey Helmet and the Alarm Clock.

This year, Rossi is poking fun at the state of his current season since his switch to Ducati, and is using the helmet design to express his frustrations to the fans.

The helmet features a giant speech / thought bubble that show swear words and general anger coming from under his visor and on to the top of his helmet.
